The Norwood Football Club is excited to announce the signing of Amy Gaedtke to its Senior Women’s program.
Gaedtke heads to the Redlegs from Central District, where she played eight SANFLW matches this year in just her first season of football, after crossing codes from Premier League Netball club Oakdale.
In her first SANFLW season Gaedtke played predominantly as a ruck, where she finished top 10 in hitouts across the League, despite playing eight matches.
She averaged 18 hitouts per game, including a 30-hitout, seven-tackle, four-clearance game in Round 12.
Gaedtke also played six matches for Division 1 club Payneham NU last season, and was named amongst the best on every occasion.
“I’m excited to be at Norwood, I’m looking forward to the season ahead,” she said.
“I started playing football in 2025, and was lucky enough to be selected by Centrals. Prior to that I played netball, and have really enjoyed the change of code.
“When I got the call about heading to Norwood, I jumped at it, and have worked under (new Norwood coach) ‘Rex’ at Centrals.
“My auntie has been a Norwood fan for many years, so she is extremely excited.”
Gaedtke is the second signing to the SANFLW program ahead of the 2026 season, with Ashley Baker also crossing over from Woodville-West Torrens.
