Senior Men’s Squad & Guernsey Numbers Finalised

From left: Harry Boyd, Mitch Nicholas, Matt Harms, Alex Swinnerton, Josh Murphy, Aaron Francis, Alec Wright and Kade Dittmar.

It’s been a seamless transition back into life at The Parade for Harry Boyd, even managing to return to the same locker he used prior to being Drafted.

Boyd will once again wear the Number 31 for the Redlegs in 2026, the guernsey he wore for his 79 SANFL matches between 2021 and 2024, before heading to St Kilda last season… where he also wore his #31.

The much-loved ruckman returned to Norwood over the offseason, having played the one AFL game for the Saints.

Boyd had an incredible influence at Norwood across his four seasons, winning a SANFL Premiership (2022), Jack Oatey Medal (2022), Magarey Medal (2024), R.O. Shearman Medal (2024), two Michael Taylor Medals (2022 & 2024), two Advertiser Team of the Year selections (2022 & 2024) and played three State Matches for South Australia.

Also heading to Norwood off an AFL list in 2026 is Aaron Francis, who spent 10 years with Essendon and Sydney.

Francis will wear the Number 21 guernsey for the Redlegs, while former Central District midfielder Kade Dittmar will wear Number 3.

Interstate recruits Josh Murphy, Alex Swinnerton and Matthew Harms will wear 22, 24 and 26 respectively.

Formerly Number 32, Alec Wright will step into Number 4 in 2026 which was most recently made famous by two time SANFL Premiership player, 150 gamer Matthew Panos. The “King’s” guernsey was worn by Izaak Twelftree last season.

Daniel Gauci (53 to 25), Mitch Nicholas (52 to Michael Taylor’s 29), Tyson Walls (47 to 34), Marco D’Annunzio (50 to 36) and Liam Ling (54 to 42) have all had shifted lockers.

Nine players from last year’s U18 squad have been selected in the Redlegs final list for the 2026 season – Noah Daw, Jim Kelly, Micah Kretschmer, Darcy Speyer, Will Prescott, Jeff Rozenbilds Mac Seal, Sam Ainsworth and Seb Lennon. Jett Dahlitz recently joined Norwood’s Senior List from Sturt’s 2025 U18 program.

Another 2025 U18 Balyn O’Brien – who played six SANFL matches for Norwood last season – has been training with Port Adelaide over the pre-season, auditioning for a SSP spot on the Power’s AFL list.
