Norwood’s 2026 U14 Squad

Norwood’s U14 Boys season will get underway at Norwood Oval on Saturday afternoon.

Following the U18 Girls match (from 3:20pm), the U14 Boys will take on the Eagles from 5:10pm, before an U18 Boys Trial Match from 7:10pm.

will again be in the spotlight when the Hostplus SANFL U14 competition begins on Saturday.

Introduced in 2024, the Hostplus SANFL U14 competition (with an emphasis on fundamentals and skill development) involves the eight SANFL clubs playing each other once across a seven round season with no finals or premiership points on offer.

But there will be a much sharper resolve to entrench the basics of Australian Football amongst all players as they begin their talent pathway in the nation’s strongest State League.

Coaches are encouraged to use players in a series of different positions throughout the season, so they are exposed to multiple roles.

The majority of the Hostplus SANFL U14 competition will conclude by Sunday April 19, ensuring the impact on metropolitan and country community clubs is minimised.

Matches will be primarily played at regular SANFL venues, with Sturt also hosting matches in its regional zone at Mount Barker.

Hostplus SANFL U14 matches towards the end of the season will be played in conjunction with SANFL U16 and U18 games, giving players an insight where their pathway will lead to once they compete in the U15 Intrastate Carnival the following year.

After being introduced last year, all Hostplus SANFL U14 matches will again be available to watch live and on-demand via the SANFL Now streaming platform.
