Norwood secured its third consecutive victory on Friday night, defeating West Adelaide by 22 points at Norwood Oval to move within one premiership point of the top four.
Prior to their last three victories over South, Glenelg and West, the Redlegs had won just one from their previous seven matches to sit bottom of the U18 Boys ladder.
Norwood led from the opening bounce on Saturday, booting three first quarter goals to none to set up the 9.14-68 to 6.10-46 victory.
After quarter time, it was an even battle, both sides kicking six goals in the remaining three quarters, but the Redlegs lead never looked under threat.
Archie James was everywhere, with 36 disposals, 16 marks, and five tackles, while defender Sam Bartel was named best on ground.
Charlie Best had 27 touches and two goals, while Oliver Easton and Joseph Nak also kicked two majors.
Earlier in the evening, Norwood’s U16s were overrun in the second half by the third placed West Adelaide. Scores were level mid-way through the second term, before the Bloods went on to secure a 66-point win.
