NORWOOD could call upon former Panther Cody Szust to face his old side South Adelaide in Round Nine of the SANFL Statewide Super League.
Szust was outstanding in the Reserves 32-point win over the Bloods in which he collected a game high 28 disposals including six clearances and six tackles.
After joining the Redlegs at the start of 2019 Szust has played five League games so far and will no doubt be ready to face his former club come Monday afternoon.
Tough defender Mac Bower was again strong in the Reserves amassing 22 touches which included a game high 10 marks. No doubt Bower’s name will again be in the selection mix.
Rebounding defender Brodie Carroll was another strong performer in the Reserves on Friday. Carroll was again influential with his run and carry off half back and collected 25 touches.
Ruckman Henry Crauford was impressive with his ability to work around the ground a real positive for Norwood. Crauford finished with 23 disposals, 35 hit outs, 10 clearances and a goal.
Unfortunately, the Legs will be without promising duo Cameron Taheny and Dylan Stephens due to Under 18 State commitments. The pair are unlikely to be available until Rounds 13 or 14.
In better news youngster Nick Pedro didn’t look out of place in his first game back from a knee injury. Pedro collected 24 touches in the win against the Bloods.
