NORWOOD is set to welcome back talented duo Monique Hollick and Crows AFLW Player Najwa Allen ahead of Saturdays Round Five clash with Central District at X-Convenience Oval.
It has been 103 days since Norwood’s Round Four draw with West Adelaide at Noarlunga, and a lot has changed since the middle of March.
The Redlegs welcome back running midfielder Monique Hollick who returns to the club for a second stint, while 2019 Best and Fairest Najwa Allen returns as the Crows released several of their players to play in the second half of the SANFLW season.
Norwood will also be boosted by tough midfielder Jess Macolino after she missed the opening half of the season with a back injury, while experienced duo Ali Ferrall and Rhiannon Busch both return to the side after missing Round Four with injury.
Norwood will also blood two debutants in Georgia Avery and Croatian import Ana Barisic who are both listed in the midfield and forward line, respectively.
Barisic, who missed out on playing due to COVID-19 in March will get her chance to impress Coach Chris Howie who has instilled faith in her ability to tackle and pressure the opposition with the Redlegs forward line.
Leading goalkicker Jo Hill will make way after retiring during the break, while Rebekka McMahon, Tilly Van Riel, Shenae Walker and Tessa Hankinson have all been omitted.
The Redlegs will look to record their second win of the 2020 campaign on Saturday with the game commencing at 11:50am.
Spectators up to a maximum of 300 can attend this Saturday’s SANFLW games, however, the game will be streamed live on the SANFL Digital Pass.
