Another mixed game for our lads this week, as we headed up North to face a young Centrals outfit.
We struggled to move the ball the way we wanted and allowed a poor start to keep the dogs in it.
After quarter time we started to see movement more like we expect from ourselves and opened a two-goal advantage for the majority of the match. Youngster Charlie Kemp provided a spark for us up forward and in the ruck in his debut, which really set the tone.
Cooper Murley impressed with a much-improved game this week – leading the charge in general play, breaking lines, and using the ball well.
Early into the last when the Dogs threw everything they had at us, the team stood tall largely due to excellent games from young backman Bailey Gal, and the clear best on ground Ronald Carbine.
For the second week in a row, we hit the ground running in the last term and overran Centrals- piling on 5 goals to 0. In the end, we ran out comfortable winners by 44-points. While we are happy to be sitting 3-1, the boys are eager to rectify three-quarters of average football and demand better again next week – because we know there is more to it than just winning games. This week are on the road again as we play an earlier game against an unbeaten Sturt side at Peter Motley Oval at 10:30am.
