NORWOOD has named its squad of 21 to face reigning Premiers Glenelg at Coopers Stadium in Round one of the Hostplus SANFLW League.
After a busy off-season, the preparation is finally over as the Redlegs look to get their 2022 campaign off to the perfect start.
The Redlegs will look relatively different to last season with a handful of debutants in line for tomorrow night.
Defender Stephanie Simmonds is in line to make her debut after coming over from the Curra Swans who are based in Townsville. Fellow defender Rose Boon is set to play after crossing over from Hectorville, while Grace Mulvahil is set to help spearhead the attack.
Youngster Molly Brooksby who has been on Norwood’s list for the last couple of seasons is also in line to make her debut along with Tasmyn Nation who has been listed on the interchange.
Gun signing Nicola Burns returns to The Parade after spending the past couple of seasons and Carlton and Hawthorn.
The competition this season will see the starting squads reduced from 18 on the field to 16 to ensure it is in line with the AFLW rules.
Tomorrow night will also see the Redlegs development squad in action before the League game.
The Development squad will take on the Bays from 6:15pm and will have several women ready to show their worth to put them in the selection frame for the League team.
Both matches will be streamed on SANFL Now.
