The Norwood Football Club has announced its side for its Round 1 season opener against West Adelaide tomorrow night.
After facing off in the first week of the finals last season, both sides will be eager to register the first win of the season.
Under new Coach Mat Creeper Norwood has named a strong side, with seven debutants included in the matchday squad.
Adrienne Davies will make her Norwood debut after featuring for North Adelaide last season, while Kassandra Stroh, Elizabeth Drake, Sarah Branford, Morgan Johnston, and Jennifer Frost are all set to make their coveted debuts for the Redlegs.
Eyes will also be on Eagles recruit, Tesharna Maher. The 19-year-old is the daughter of SA Women’s football trailblazer Bronwyn Davey and NT star Kelvin Maher. Used primarily in defence by the Eagles, Maher can expect to be released into the midfield and attack, where she can display her exceptional speed and ability to elude tackles.
Mattea Breed and Charlotte Nenke are the emergencies.
Norwood’s match against West Adelaide is getting underway at 7:45pm at Coopers Stadium.
