Norwood’s SANFLW side faces a must-win clash when it head to Glenelg this Friday to take on the Tigers on Anzac Day.
In what will be a rematch of last year’s SANFLW Preliminary Final, both the Redlegs and Tigers are surprisingly stranded at the bottom of the ladder after five matches in 2025.
Norwood has just the one victory in 2025, while Glenelg is yet to win a match, however this game threatens to be a heated battle as both sides are keen to get their seasons underway.
Norwood is two wins outside the top four, but the shorter season means the Redlegs will have to get on a run in a hurry if they are keen to taste finals action in 2025.
The Redlegs have made two changes from last week’s loss to Sturt, as Lottie Almond comes in to make her debut alongside Charli Hazelhurst who returns to the side.
Grace Whittaker has been omitted, while Sophie Arkun is out with concussion.
After spending time up on the wing to start the season, it seems Kiana Lee will be a more permanent forward on Friday, named at full forward.
Lee booted four goals in her last outing against Sturt, and at times looked like the difference maker in the narrow 7.3-45 to 6.6-42 loss, helping her side overturn a four-goal deficit at three quarter time.
Off-season recruit Georgie Jaques looks settled at half back, claiming a best afield award in Round 5.
