The SANFL has today released the fixture for the final five minor rounds of the 2021 SANFL Statewide Super League.
SANFL Head of Football Operations Sean Toohey said he was pleased to be able to confirm details of all remaining home and away matches of the 2021 SANFL season, including League, Reserves and U18 Torrens University Cup.
“We understand how important it is not just for players, coaches, umpires, volunteers, and officials, but also supporters to know when their teams are playing as early as possible,” Mr Toohey said.
“The ongoing impact of Covid-19 on the rollout of the AFL fixture has continued to present us with challenges in scheduling SANFL matches this season to give Clubs every opportunity to maximise match day attendances.
“We thank each South Australian footy fan for their understanding and continued support of our SANFL Statewide Super League season and encourage you all to head out to a game and support your team over these exciting six remaining rounds of the 2021 season.”
Mr Toohey said Channel 7 had now confirmed its three remaining blockbuster broadcast matches on the road to the Finals Series – Glenelg v South Adelaide (Round 15); South Adelaide v North Adelaide (Round 18); North Adelaide v Norwood (Round 19).
There will be no Channel 7 SANFL match broadcasts in Round 16 and Round 17 (a split round) due to the network’s coverage of the Tokyo Olympics.
The only Statewide Super League matches with dates and start times still to be confirmed due to the uncertain AFL fixture are the two remaining Port Adelaide home games, the Round 17 SANFL Showdown between Adelaide and Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval and the final two Channel 7 broadcast games in Rounds 18 and 19.
All updated fixtures for the Statewide Super League, Reserves and U18 Torrens University Cup can now be viewed on the SANFL Match Centre and SANFL App.
Updated printable PDF fixtures are also now available on the SANFL website for League, Reserves and U18s.
