Norwood will host two games of the 2023 NAB AFLW season at Coopers Stadium, including a Showdown, in September and October this year.
The 2023 NAB AFLW season fixture was released on Monday, and includes 10 home and away rounds plus four weeks of finals, beginning on Friday, September 1.
Round one will see Adelaide and Port Adelaide clash in the second-ever AFLW Showdown at Coopers Stadium on Saturday, September 2.
Alongside the round one blockbuster, Norwood will also host the opening game of Indigenous Round between Adelaide and the Western Bulldogs, kicking off under lights on Friday, October 13.
Norwood Chief Executive Officer James Fantasia is thrilled to welcome back AFLW to The Parade in 2023.
“We are absolutely delighted to be hosting the Adelaide Football Club’s home games after a postponement last year with the instalment of our new lights,” said Fantasia.
“Both games promise to be exciting for the Adelaide supporters, with a showdown and a chance to play under lights on October 13.”
Norwood is also a possible final venue if Adelaide were to make the finals in the 2023 season.
