Fixture Release

The 2022 Hostplus SANFL fixture is locked in

The blockbuster 2022 fixture will see the Norwood Football Club for the first-ever travel to Port Lincoln to face West Adelaide for Premiership points.

The Redlegs are scheduled to face the Bloods on Anzac weekend on the Eyre Peninsula which has been part of its development zone since 2014.

Norwood fans will be pleased to see several games on the Friday night timeslot which resonates well and always generates a fantastic atmosphere.

The Legs kickstart their 2022 campaign against 2021 minor premiers Glenelg, which for the first time in 18 years will be played away from The Parade.

Norwood will then face the Premiers the Eagles, before taking on archrivals Port Adelaide under lights at Coopers Stadium.

Norwood CEO James Fantasia welcomed the release of the 2022 season fixture.

“The 2022 draw provides a number of exciting opportunities for our Norwood fans,” Fantasia said.

“Despite losing our trademark Easter Thursday fixture against Port Adelaide, we have gained a fixture against West Adelaide in Port Lincoln.

“We think this is enormous for our members and supporters as it provides firstly an opportunity for us to travel as a club to watch our team, but secondly understand and support our zone on the Eyre Peninsula.

“Again, we have four Friday night games within the opening eight rounds which we hope to see large numbers in attendance.

“As always we hope to see as many Norwood fans support the team to give them the momentum, we need throughout 2022.”

Norwood will have runs of back-to-back games at Coopers Stadium in rounds two and three against the Eagles and Port, as well as games in Rounds 7 and 8 against Centrals and Adelaide.

“We think this is enormous for our members and supporters, as it provides an opportunity for us to travel as one to not only see our beloved Legs play but understand and support our zone on the Eyre Peninsula.
