Round 1 SANFLW Teams & Debutants

Norwood will open its 2023 Hostplus SANFLW season against reigning premiers North Adelaide on Friday night (February 17) at Coopers Stadium.

The Redlegs will take on the Roosters in their Round 1 SANFLW clash from 7:30pm, while the Development League team will play North from 5:40pm.

There will be five SANFLW debutants running out in Norwood colours tonight, including Emily Bartsch, Georgina Birchall, Georgie Jaques, Meghan Gaffney and Courtney Neale, as well as Tahlita Buethke (Norwood debut) who crossed over from South Adelaide in the off-season.

Ali Ferrall has been re-appointed SANFLW Captain, alongside her leadership team of Sophie Armitstead (VC), Nicola Burns (DVC) and Stephanie Simmonds (DVC).

Erika Sporn will Captain the Development League Redlegs, alongside Millie Yardley (VC), Shenae Walker (DVC), and Courtney Rossi (DVC).

Tonight will also be Brad Snell’s first match as Head Coach of the SANFLW side, having spent last year in the role of Midfield Coach last season.
