The Norwood Football Club can confirm today that Tasmanian recruit, Jackson Callow has been offered the opportunity to train with the Hawthorn Football Club.
After signing with Norwood in January, Callow has been training with his new teammates in preparation for the 2021 SANFL Statewide Super League Season.
Norwood’s Football Services Manager Rob Harding said the club could not be happier for Jackson and the opportunity that has arisen for him to play AFL Football.
“As a club, we couldn’t be happier for Jackson,” said Harding.
“Jackson has been a true professional since walking through the doors here at Norwood and ultimately deserves this opportunity that has been presented to him.
“We wish him all the best with his trial and looking forward to watching Jackson’s progress as he grows as a player and as a person.
“As Jackson is a contracted player for 2021 we will support him through his trial with Hawthorn and should an AFL opportunity not eventuate, we look forward to Jackson returning to be part of an exciting 2021 season for the Norwood Football Club.”
