NORWOOD has named an extended squad to face Central District in Round Two of the SANFL Statewide Super League.
Senior Coach has called upon former Swans defender Michael Talia after an impressive performance in the Reserves last Friday.
Speedster Chris Olsson has been included in the squad of 23 after kicking three in the Reserves, while Dylan Stephens could make his Norwood debut on Saturday after collecting a game high 36 disposals last weekend. Stephens is Norwood Junior who can find plenty of the ball inside or outside of the contest and uses it very well.
After missing out last Friday, Luke Surman looks all but certain to return after overcoming a slight hamstring strain. Surman will add some strong marking power, and support for tall forward Brady Dawe.
Unfortunately, Captain Jace Bode won’t face the Bulldogs after sustaining a dislocated shoulder in Round One, while pressure forward Ed Smart won’t be available either after suffering an injury to his foot.
Action against Central District gets underway with the Reserves at 10:30am followed by the League side at 1:10pm.
Norwood’s senior women conclude the day’s triple header from 3:45pm. Entry to the women’s game is free from three quarter time of the League game (approximately 3:15pm).
Changes:
In: L.Surman (rec), M.Talia, D.Stephens, C.Olsson
Out: J.Bode (shoulder), E.Smart (Foot)
