Men’s Team Selection – Round Three

NORWOOD has named an extended squad to face Sturt in Round three on Friday at Coopers Stadium.

After injuring his hamstring in the win against Centrals, strong marking forward Luke Surman will not feature against the Double Blues.

Coach Jarrod Cotton has recalled livewire forward Ed Smart as well as defender Mac Bower, while running defender Brodie Carroll could play his first League game tomorrow night.

Promising youngster, Dylan Stephens will keep his spot after a strong debut performance last weekend. Stephens collected 18 disposals and kicked goal, earning him a nomination as an SANFL RAA Rookie.

Gun midfielder Matthew Nunn will spend another week on the sidelines after he was a late out against Centrals after falling ill.

Captain Jace Bode is recovering well and is approximately 1-2 weeks away from returning.

Action against Sturt gets underway with the Reserves at 4:50pm followed by the League at 7:20pm.

Tomorrow night is a milestone match for two of Norwood’s stars. Gun midfielder Matthew Panos will play SANFL game 100, alongside marking beast Lewis Johnston who also plays his 100th game.

Changes:

In: E.Smart (Rec), M.Bower, B.Carroll
Out: L.Surman (Hamstring/Foot)
Milestone: Brodie Carroll will play his first league game if selected. Lewis Johnston & Matt Panos will play their 100th SANFL league games.
