The Lady Legs have stretched their unbeaten start to the season to six games after defeating Glenelg by 11-points at Peter Motley Oval.

In what was a rather scrappy affair, Glenelg came out of the blocks early booting the first major of the match.

With star on-baller Najwa Allen missing due to injury along with Jessica Macolino, the Lady Legs had to find away against a tough Glenelg outfit.

Gun midfielder Hannah Dunn kicked Norwood’s first just after five minutes as majority of the play was in Norwood’s front half.

The Lady Legs a had several forward 50 entries for the quarter, however Glenelg’s defence were up to the task.

The second quarter saw Glenelg dominant, as they kicked the only major of the quarter courtesy of Samantha Franson.

After being completely dominated in that second term, the Lady Legs kicked the first two goals of the second quarter.

Former Crow Monique Hollick executed her set shot from 30 metres out, while Bella Smith was on the end of long kick from Dunn to stroll into an open goal.

An outstanding piece of ruckwork by Leah Cutting then put Sophie Armitstead in prime position to snap truly from 20m to give the Lady Legs a 15-point lead.

Norwood managed to defend strong as Glenelg came out with a clear plan in the final term.

Despite only managing to kick one point in the final quarter, Norwood came away with an 11-point win to make it six wins in a row.
Hannah Dunn continued to impress for Norwood collecting 26 disposals, while Hollick was dominant again with 20 touches and a goal.

Norwood travel to X-Convenience Oval next Saturday as they face League new-comers Centrals in Round 7 of the SANFL Statewide Women’s League.
