The Norwood Football Club is heading back to its Regional Zone of the Eyre Peninsula for The Teakle Cup, this year taking on the Adelaide Crows on Sunday, May 4.
The Redlegs have over the past three seasons played West Adelaide in the annual trip to Port Lincoln’s Centenary Oval, but this year we have a new opponent in the Crows.
The annual Teakle Cup match is a huge weekend on the Norwood Football Club’s calendar, and it’s always a weekend that’s more than just the footy as we celebrate everything that the Eyre Peninsula has to offer.
This year, the club is hosting a Sportsman’s Lunch at The Port Lincoln Hotel, with none other than the legend that is Neil Balme.
Neil Balme has a football resume that speaks for itself – he’s a VFL Premiership player, a Norwood Premiership coach, and had unprecedented success as a football administrator at AFL level.
Make sure you book your tickets to Footy & Life – An Afternoon with Neil Balme on Friday, May 2 at the Port Lincoln Hotel. Tickets are on sale now via the link below.
The club will again be hosting the VIP Welcome Evening on Saturday night, May 3 at The Port Lincoln Hotel, where we will officially be launching the 2025 Teakle Cup clash between the Redlegs and Crows.
Hear from the captains and coaches before they go head to head on Centenary Oval the following day.
You can book your tickets to this event below.
And then, we are into the match, on Sunday, May 4. It’s a 2pm start at Centenary Oval, Port Lincoln. The club will again have the Port Lincoln Match Day Marquee – a five-hour food and beverage package, overlooking the playing surface. That sounds like a great day indeed, to wrap up an outstanding weekend.
