Norwood’s SANFLW season draws to a close this Saturday with a road trip out to Elizabeth to take on Central District.
The Redlegs disappointing loss to Glenelg and Sturt’s upset win over the Eagles last week ruled out any slim chance Norwood had of playing finals in 2025, but this Saturday’s game is far from a dead rubber.
The Bulldogs have won their last two matches to shoot back into finals contention, so a Norwood win would upset the apple cart for Centrals, and give the Redlegs some momentum heading into the off season.
There is a bit to play out across the competition in the final regular season match, with South Adelaide and Woodville-West Torrens fighting it out for top spot when they meet in Noarlunga, while Central District (against Norwood) and Sturt (against North) are battling for fourth place.
The Roosters are safe in third place, while West Adelaide, Norwood and Glenelg are out of finals contention.
Norwood has made four changes for the final match of the 2025 season, with Kate Alexander, Georgina Birchall, Charlee Brooksby and Charli Hazelhurst returning to the side. Sophie Armitstead, Grace Whittaker, Jaz Egan and Kyah Jaffer make way.
Alexander, Brooksby and Hazelhurst missed last week due to State Football commitments.
