Anzac Day Teams

Norwood will be keen to land its first win of the 2025 season, and first victory under new coach Jade Sheedy in a SANFL Grand Final rematch at Glenelg on Anzac Day.

The Redlegs head to the Bay to take on the reigning premier Glenelg, starting at 2:10pm on Friday, April 25 in a Triple Header.

Norwood have had a slow start to the season with three losses to North Adelaide, Woodville-West Torrens and Sturt.

An unfortunate run with injuries has meant the Redlegs haven’t been able to get their best team on the park, as Tom Donnelly, Baynen Lowe, Will Rowlands, Ben Simpson, Alec Wright and Luke Surman remain on the sidelines.

Norwood welcomed Izaak Twelftree and Jacob Newton to the line up in Round 3, and have another debutant in Round 4 as Tasmanian Mitch Nicholas will don the red and blue for the first time.

Nicholas impressed throughout the pre-season, before being suspended in a Trial Match against Central District, and having to spend the first three weeks of the season watching on.

Nicholas has been named on the wing in Round 4.

Connor McLean will also return to League football for the first time since Round 13 last season following a groin injury.

McLean has played two Reserves games in 2025 for six goals, including four in the Round 3 win against Sturt last Thursday.

Connor Ling and Charlie Molan have also earnt a recall into the extended line-up following good performances in the Reserves last Thursday.

Norwood’s opponents Glenelg have started the season with two wins and a recent loss to ladder leaders Adelaide, with the Crows claiming a four-point win over the Tigers in Round 3, 14.14-98 to 14.10-94.

Anzac Day at the Bay is a Triple Header, kicking off with the Reserves at 11:20am, the League at 2:10pm and SANFLW match at 5pm.
