Round 14 Teams

Norwood heads to Richmond Oval to face a much improved West Adelaide side in Round 14 of the SANFL Men’s competition.

The Redlegs will be without star recruit Aaron Francis, who will miss the clash against his former junior club, due to a one-game suspension for striking Corey Lyons last Saturday night. The club challenged the suspension, but was unsuccessful.

It will be the first game Francis has missed since he joined the club from the Sydney Swans in the off-season.

Norwood has named four inclusions on the extended bench, including Oliver Sanders, Daniel Gauci, Josh Murphy and Noah Daw.

The Redlegs last played the Bloods back in Round 6 at Port Lincoln’s Centenary Oval, in what ended up being a 103-point thrashing.

It was an uncharacteristic performance from Westies, who have been a much improved side in 2026, having already won two more matches than they did last season under new coach Nathan Bassett.

Last weekend, the Bloods narrowly lost to reigning premiers Sturt, while Norwood went down to Glenelg in what was its first loss since Round 2.

Norwood’s Reserves will also be keen to bounce back after they dropped their first game after nine-straight wins, when they face the fourth placed West Adelaide from 11:30am.

In the AAMI Talent League, Norwood host West Adelaide at Norwood Oval on Friday night, with the U18s co-captain James Annese playing his first game in 467 days.

It’s been a long road, recovering from ACL injuries, but Annese will lead the team out for the first time since Round 3 last year.
