It’s March, which means SANFL footy is back this month.
Norwood will kick off its 2023 campaign on March 31 against Woodville-West Torrens at Coopers Stadium in a Friday night fixture.
This will be the opening match of the 2023 Hostplus SANFL League Season, and also the night that the club unveils the 2022 SANFL Premiership Flag.

The Redlegs have some exciting match-ups against the Eagles at Coopers Stadium this month, with the SANFLW side taking on Woodville-West Torrens in the First Nations Round on Friday, March 17.
The SANFLW Redlegs will face Central District at X Convenience Oval in Elizabeth this Saturday, March 4 (League: 12pm, Development League: 10am) in their Round 3 match.
SANFL Trial Matches will commence this weekend, with Norwood taking on the Bulldogs on Saturday, March 4 at Hisense Stadium in Richmond. The League Trial will start at 12:45pm, and Reserves 10am.
Norwood will play two further SANFL Trials ahead of its Round 1 match, facing Sturt on March 11 at Hisense Stadium and Woodville-West Torrens on March 17 at Thebarton Oval.
The Redlegs U16 and U18 sides will begin their seasons on Sunday, March 26, against South Adelaide in Noarlunga. They will face Sturt in a Trial Match at Cornerstone College in Mt Barker this Saturday, March 4 (U16: 10:30am, U18: 12:45pm).
April will be another big month at Coopers Stadium, with blockbuster SANFL matches against Sturt on Good Friday (April 6), followed by the traditional Anzac Day Grand Final Re-match against North Adelaide.
In between these two fixtures will be the AFL’s inaugural Gather Round matches at Norwood’s Coopers Stadium.
Fremantle will play Gold Coast at Coopers Stadium on Friday, April 14 (4:40pm), and Greater Western Sydney will play Hawthorn on Sunday, April 16 (2:50pm). Click here for ticket information
