Norwood will be eager to get back on the winners list when it hosts Woodville-West Torrens at Coopers Stadium on Saturday.
The Redlegs have made three forced changes for the game against the top of the table Eagles, with Charli Hazelhurst and Tahlita Buethke missing with injury and Georgie Jaques out due to work commitments.
Georgina Birchall has been recalled to the line-up, while Adrienne Davies will play her first SANFLW match of the season.
Sharmaine Crosby will also be making her debut.
The 16-year-old from the club’s regional zone of the Eyre Peninsula, Crosby was a standout for the Redlegs Development League side this season, and has continued her good form at School Football level with Wilderness.
Norwood Development League coach Alison Ferrall said it was great to see Crosby getting an opportunity.
“She’s such an exciting player, she’s a good ball user and has great speed on her side,” Ferrall said.
“She really has been banging the door down.”
The Redlegs have two wins to their name in 2025, and will be keen to get their season back on track. However, it won’t be easy up against an undefeated Eagles side.
Woodville-West Torrens are putting together their best SANFLW campaign to date, comfortably the best scoring team in the competition, averaging 60 points per game (South second at 42 points per game) as well as the best defensive team (24 points against).
Norwood will be hosting a Brunch to Support the Ashleigh Young Scholarship pre-match. The Scholarship was established by the Marjorie Jackson-Nelson Centre for Women’s Sport, supports professional development for women in sport, continuing Ashleigh’s legacy of empowering young female athletes.
