Norwood’s SANFLW side will head to Unley for the second time this season to take on Sturt in a must win King’s Birthday Monday clash.
With four matches remaining, and Norwood sitting two wins outside of the top four, the wins must start coming for Alison Ferrall’s side.
Sturt’s fourth place seems the only likely remaining spot in the finals, with the 9-1 Eagles, 9-1 Panthers and 6-4 Roosters all with one hand on post season action.
The Double Blues sit 5-5 and the Bloods 4-6, while the Redlegs and Bulldogs share a 3-7 win-loss record. It seems now or never for Norwood.
Norwood suffered a devastating one point win against West Adelaide last Saturday, 5.4-34 to 5.3-33, while Sturt churned out a gutsy win over Centrals 6.12-48 to 6.8-44.
The Redlegs are bolstered by the return of co-captain Stephanie Simmonds from a hamstring injury, while key defender Emily Bartsch has been named on an extended bench after missing the last two matches with a shoulder injury.
Sophie Armitstead, Jazmine Egan and Elle Lineage have also been listed as in’s on an extended bench.
Ashlee Gould (managed) and Charli Hazelhurst (academy commitments) are out.
The SANFLW game gets underway at 12:10pm, as part of a King’s Birthday Triple Header against Sturt, with the SANFL Reserves from 9:40am and the SANFL at 2:30pm.
