Team Selection – Trio added to squad of 25

NORWOOD have named a squad of 25 to face South Adelaide this Saturday afternoon at Noarlunga.

After a close fought three-point win over the Double Blues last Friday, the Redlegs need nothing but a win to keep their 2020 finals hopes alive.

Running midfielder, Zac Richards has been named on the extended bench after recovering from a dislocated kneecap suffered in Round nine against North Adelaide.

Along with Richards, forward Sam Barnett is again a chance to make his debut after another strong showing at Reserve level. Barnett has been close to a debut in the last couple of weeks and could well be included to add some more fire power within Norwood’s front third.

Senior Coach Jarrod Cotton could also call upon impressive youngster Jack Saunders after a string of strong performances in the Reserves. Saunders could add some speed and running power on a large open deck of Noarlunga.

In better news, Declan Hamilton and Nick Pedro may also return to football this Saturday after lengthy layoffs with injuries.

Hamilton injured his ankle in our reverse fixture with South in Round Seven whilst utility Nick Pedro looks to have overcome an ankle injury sustained in Round Two at Adelaide Oval.

The Redlegs will look to record their seventh win of 2020 when they face the Panthers at Flinders University Stadium this Saturday from 1:45pm.

The game will be aired on Channel 7 with coverage beginning from 1:30pm.
