Team Selection – SANFL Round 16

NORWOOD has named a squad of 25 to face Glenelg this Saturday at ACH Group Stadium in Round 16 of the SANFL Statewide Super League.

The Redlegs have named an extended bench with midfielder Zac Richards amongst the potential inclusions along with forwards Cole Gerloff and Henry Nelligan.

Richards has not featured in the League side since Round five, however, has performed strongly in the Reserves and was a clear best afield in their last game which saw him collect 28 disposals and a lay 13 tackles to go with six clearances and seven inside 50s.

Cole Gerloff was again impressive in his last outing in the Reserves collecting 20 disposals to go with 14 tackles, while impressive youngster Henry Helligan could also return after overcoming a hip injury.

Duo Jack Heard and Michael Cavallaro have also been named on the extended bench and could add some further depth at either end of the ground.

Norwood has ruled out speedster Dom Barry who will miss with a knee injury, while defender Mac Bower has been omitted.

Meanwhile, the Reserves are expected to field at least eight new inclusions for their clash against the Bays.

Ruckman Henry Crauford will return after a lengthy lay-off with a back injury, while Peter Bampton, Finn Heard, Nick Pedro, Emmanuel Irra, Mitch Cotter and Brad Ficken all return.

First bounce is at 2.10pm with the Reserves beginning at 11:30am. The games can be streamed live on the SANFL Digital Pass.
