Norwood name squad to face Centrals in Trial 2

Dual Magarey Medallist Mitch Grigg is set to play his first competitive game of football after being named in Norwood’s squad to take on Central District at x-Convenience Oval on Saturday.

Senior Coach Jade Rawlings has named an experienced squad to face the Dogs with selection in the senior side ramping up ahead of round one against Port Adelaide.

Triple Premiership Player and former Hawthorn forward Paul Puopolo will also feature for the Redlegs after not playing last weekend. Puopolo will don the red and blue for the first time since the 2010 SANFL Grand Final.

2020 Best and Fairest winner Richard Douglas will also feature for Norwood after missing last weekend, while defensive duo Zac Richards and Jacob Collins will also get some match minutes.

Redlegs’ fans will also get their first glimpses of recruits Jacob Kennerley and Jackson Callow against SANFL opposition, with the pair named in the 30 man-squad.

Speedster Dom Barry will also front up against the Dogs, as he looks to find some form early with Round one only weeks away.

Again, Rawlings has opted to field several youngsters who played last weekend, which will no doubt again be exciting for Norwood fans to watch this Saturday.

Saturday’s clash gets underway at 2.10pm, with the Reserves in action beforehand commencing at 11:30am.
