NORWOOD has named a squad of 25 to face League Leaders Glenelg on Sunday afternoon at Coopers Stadium.
Captain, Matthew Nunn is all but a certain starter after overcoming a hamstring injury sustained in the State game a month ago.
Nunn has relished the role as Captain of the Football Club throughout the first seven games, and is a timely to return as Norwood come up against an experience Bays midfield.
Coach Jade Rawlings has also called upon experienced defender Michael Talia who has been a rather consistent performer in the Reserves over the past month. The 28-year-old will look to sure up the Redlegs back six and take one of Glenelg’s tall and dangerous forwards.
On the extended bench, brothers Zac and Josh Richards have both been named after strong performances last week against the Eagles, while Tristian Binder and Lachlan Pascoe are also a chance to feature as they aim to provide some more depth up forward.
Norwood unfortunately lost forward Jackson Callow in the AFL mid-season draft on Wednesday night, while the news does not get much better with number one ruckman Michael Knoll ruled out with a toe injury.
Matt Vardanega will also not feature after being omitted.
In some better news for Norwood Dom Barry returns via the Reserves along with Sam Buckham and Sam Morris.
The Redlegs face Glenelg this Sunday at The Parade from 2:10pm.
