NORWOOD has recalled a trio of handy inclusions for Sunday’s important Round 11 clash with Port Adelaide.
Fresh off the bye, Senior Coach Jade Rawlings has named a squad of 25 set to be trimmed to 22 by Saturday afternoon.
After missing Norwood’s narrow loss to North Adelaide due to a slight hamstring, gun forward Matthew Panos is set to return following four goals against Adelaide in Round eight.
Along with Panos, the Redlegs have included young forward Henry Nelligan who missed Round eight due to illness as well as defender Pierce Seymour following an impressive performance in the Reserves a fortnight ago.
Hard nosed midfielder, Nick Lowden has also been named on the extended bench, along with hard-running wingman, Matt Vardanega.
Norwood loses upcoming star Max Michalanney due to SA State Commitments, as well as link forward Tom Wagner who is out with a shoulder injury.
In better news, important forward Cam Taheny will return this week via the Reserves after overcoming a slight hamstring, while Lachlan Pascoe and Brodie Carroll will play their first games of the year after overcoming respective knee and hamstring injuries.
Forward Mac Bower will also return and play minutes in the Reserves on Saturday, as well as midfielder Stefan Lanzoni who has been out due to a hamstring injury.
The Redlegs face Port Adelaide from 1:10 pm on Sunday afternoon at Alberton Oval, while Norwood’s Reserves face West Adelaide from 10:20 am Saturday morning at Hisense Stadium.
